Charlotte Kenyon moved to West Chiltington from Cheam, Surrey in January 2018. She was elected to West Sussex County Council in May 2021 as Councillor for the Pulborough division; her first appointment to an elected office.
Charlotte is an independent management consultant and qualified programme professional with many years’ experience of delivering large, complex projects to clients in the private and public sector across a range of industries, particularly transport and energy and utilities. She is very keen to support local businesses. She is a geography graduate and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with a keen interest in environmental matters. Provision of transport services, management of the road network, water, environmental and waste management are all topics of particular interest to her.
Charlotte is a qualified UK Mountain Leader and was for many years a youth adventure training instructor, expedition leader, Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition section Supervisor and Assessor at all levels of the Award and an Army Cadet Force Sergeant instructor. That has left her with an abiding interest in the provision of services and opportunities for young people, particularly with regard to leadership skills and learning outside the classroom. She has a lifelong love of outdoor sport and recreation in all its forms and is an enthusiastic advocate of countryside access, the maintenance of public rights of way and the provision of sports facilities.
